Most Recommended Pikler Triangles

Our online store offers a simulator created according to the concept of the Hungarian pediatrician Emma Pikler.
The design is included in the basic set of tools for the development of children according to the Montessori method.
It helps the child feel the possibilities of his body, having received sufficient physical activity and motor skills.
Here are some of our most recommended Pikler Triangles that you can buy if you do not have the time and opportunity of making one by yourself.

How is the Pickler ladder different from other children’s ladders?

The first and main advantage of the classic Pickler triangle is the very closely spaced steps. If on other children’s stairs in various products (including outdoor areas) the distance between them is from 15 cm, then on this one it is 10 cm. This is more expensive. This product is heavier. But it is precisely such a minimum clearance that is optimal for the smallest, because the product is “sharpened” just for them. Another important nuance is that the head of the child will not crawl through the gap of 10 cm (and therefore will not get stuck).

The second difference: the Pickler ladder is usually quite wide. Because the wider, the less likely that a child (and even more so two children) will throw it over and get injured. There are offers on the market with widths from 60 to 80 cm. What width is enough is hard to say, this is a debatable issue. On the one hand, the wider, the relatively more reliable, but on the other hand, the heavier, more expensive, and most importantly, it takes up more space in the room.

Agree, not every children’s room has a place 80 by 80 cm, which can be donated for such a ladder. Yes, it folds up, but if, when unfolded, it covers the entire space in the room and creates traumatic situations, this is not very good. Also debatable is the question of the height of this climbing frame, which is made from 60 to 100 cm. After all, the lower the height, the less the child is injured if he falls, Well, the lower the cost, of course. And the higher – the longer the Pickler triangle will arouse the interest of the baby. And it’s not very interesting to cling a hill to a low ladder.
